EPSG certifies Baumüller servo drives

Baumüller now offers its b maXX family of servo drives with a Powerlink interface. The 2500, 3300, 4400 and 5000-series of the company’s b maXX servo drives have recently been certified by the Ethernet Powerlink Standardization Group (EPSG) for compliance with Powerlink specifications.

The b maXX family covers a broad spectrum – from the smallest compact drives to high-power devices delivering more than 300 kW. The variety of form factors and modular design allow solutions to be tailored to a wide range of applications. b maXX and Powerlink are equally suitable for both centralized and decentralized layouts.

Baumüller offers a comprehensive set of preprogrammed functions for its servo drives with Powerlink interface. These simplify setup, shorten development times and reduce the risk of errors.

Baumüller’s decentralized b maXX 2500 series combines its b maXX 3300-series converters with robust servo motors from its DSD2, DSC and DSP1 series to form a compact drive with integrated electronics for distributed automation up to 6 kW featuring IP65 protection. The b maXX 3300 is an exceptionally compact and space-saving servo drive with integrated position control for the lower performance range.

The b maXX 4400 series features power modules with five different cooling variants and is available in seven different sizes. This series of converters and controllers was developed to meet current and future automation technology requirements worldwide. The b maXX 5000 is Baumüller’s most versatile servo converter generation. It can be expanded modularly and offers cooling options ranging from cold plates to air and water with standard or feed-through mounting.
