Huge success for Framos Image Sensor Tech Days
Information and idea exchanging platform for camera developers and R&D engineers
The second Image Sensor Tech Days conference was a popular event and achieved record attendance levels. This information and idea exchanging platform for camera developers and R&D engineers was conceived by the industrial imaging specialist Framos and is used to present the latest technical advancements, as well as detailed findings from current image sensor research and measurement projects.
A team of Japanese developers working at Sony were a major highlight for the participants attending the event in Munich. Sony is the largest producer of sensors and held many events including a live presentation of its latest sensor models from the third CMOS generation which gave end customers an opportunity to take part in a live Q&A session and pose their questions to the experts on hand.
The talks about equipping sensors (Weptech) and the need for appropriate lenses were especially popular and were presented by engineers from the Japanese firm, Computar. Sunex spoke about the potential of lens-side HDR optimization, while experts from Framos went into detail about preventing color errors and distortions, as well as the latest findings from the Framos EMVA laboratory. The 2018 Framos Image Sensor Tech Days are being planned for next Spring. Since 1981 Framos is a leading technology provider in industrial, scientific and medical image processing.
