Leuze will present new solutions for production and supply chain at this year’s LogiMAT in Stuttgart from March 24 to 26 – including the powerful identCHAIN platform for efficient data exchange at field level and the scanGATE system for pallet identification.

identCHAIN is a high‑performance platform for networking identification systems at field level – developed by the “Sensor People.” Visitors to the Leuze booth C60 in Hall 3 will also see how the scanGATE solution increases efficiency in incoming goods processes at distribution centers and what advantages the RSL 200 safety laser scanner offers as an especially compact device. Additional innovations, such as the FBPS 600i safety barcode positioning system with PROFIsafe interface, complete the presentation.

Maximum transparency for object and process data
Distributed data, media discontinuities and delayed status information – anyone managing complex production and logistics processes is very familiar with these challenges. identCHAIN from Leuze addresses exactly these issues: The platform controls a network of identification systems and sensors for track‑and‑trace applications. This allows users to access comprehensive object and process data in real time at any point along the supply chain. The autonomous system processes all data directly at shopfloor level and uses application-specific virtual data carriers.

scanGATE: Efficiency for incoming goods
Another highlight at the Leuze trade fair booth at LogiMAT is scanGATE – a flexible and future‑proof system for identifying pallet deliveries in incoming goods. The solution for distribution centers captures 1D and 2D codes on both sides of incoming goods as soon as a pallet passes through the gate. This is done reliably at process speeds of up to 0.5 meters per second – even under challenging lighting conditions or with varying label quality. The system is flexibly scalable, designed for robust 24/7 logistics operation and can be easily integrated into existing IT and logistics processes.

Small but powerful
Visitors to the Leuze booth can also learn more about the RSL 200 safety laser scanner. Its particularly compact dimensions of just 80 × 80 × 86 millimeters and innovative connection technology open up new possibilities for sensor integration. With this powerful device, users can reliably safeguard machines, systems, automated guided vehicles and autonomous mobile robots.

Precise positioning via barcode
Also on display at the trade fair is the FBPS 600i safety barcode positioning system with PROFIsafe interface. Users can connect the device directly to a safety PLC, enabling particularly compact system designs and simplifying installation. Alternatively, the safety barcode positioning system is also available with two SSI interfaces. All device variants reliably detect positions using just one sensor. System operators therefore benefit from significantly reduced integration and maintenance costs.

In the technical realm, “nano” means ten to the power of negative nine, or one billionth. In addition, parts even smaller than this are possible – for example, the intricate shapes that come out of the NanoOne 3D printer from UpNano. To produce these, light particles are fired at the starting material. This is a process that plays out over a range of thousandths of a millimeter. So that the substrate can be precisely aligned here, three compact, high-performance motors from Faulhaber ensure the correct position.

Strengthen European Cybersecurity Cooperation

The European research and innovation project ENFORCERS (Enhanced Cooperation for Cybersecurity) has officially started, bringing together a strong consortium of industrial manufacturers and cybersecurity technology providers, supported by applied research organizations to address one of Europe’s most pressing challenges: ensuring resilient, trustworthy software throughout the lifecycle of industrial automation systems. The project is coordinated by Wibu-Systems AG and co-funded by the European Union.
