International exhibitors and visitors have shown great interest in the Sensor+Test - which has developed into a trade fair for sensor

International exhibitors and visitors have always shown great interest in the Sensor+Test – which is why the trade fair has developed into the leading international trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology. Almost three months before the start of the fair, a record number of registered exhibitors is emerging: more than 40% come from abroad. And what’s more: the SENSOR+TEST is once again offering a host of novelties this year – from the Calibration Area to Technology & Application Guided Tours.

The Sensor+Test is still just under three months away, but preparations for the trade fair taking place in Nuremberg from June 11 to 13, 2024 are in full swing. The innovation dialog is expected to attract 400 exhibitors from Germany and abroad. Interest from international exhibitors in particular has grown once again this year. Following the traditionally strong exhibitor numbers from neighboring Switzerland, especially British and US companies have confirmed their participation. “After the abolition of entry restriction, we are expecting more exhibitors from China than ever before and, above all, a delegation of more than 40 Chinese visitors who will be spending a week in Germany to exchange ideas,” says a delighted Elena Schultz, Managing Director of AMA Service GmbH. “We will be welcoming our exhibitors and visitors back to the exhibition halls at NürnbergMesse in June. As things stand at present, we are expecting 400 exhibitors in halls 1 and 2 this year, which will make the exhibition even more attractive, also thanks to the expansion with a lot of highlights,” says Elena Schultz. Hall 1 is already fully booked. “There are still places available in hall 2, but interested parties should not take too much longer to register, as more companies are waiting in the wings to present their innovations in Nuremberg,” explains Elena Schultz.

New area focuses on calibration

The new “Calibration Area” will be a very special highlight. Under the motto “Innovative Calibration”, exhibitors will present innovations for the calibration of sensors and measurement technology in a compact area. The focus will be on digital concepts and the challenges of calibration. In combination with an open Technology Forum, the “Calibration Area” is the ideal platform for the innovation dialog between manufacturers, calibration service providers and users. In the morning, the Technology Forum offers an exciting program with best-practice presentations in which exhibitors present their tried-and-tested applications. In the afternoon, visitors can look forward to top-class special sessions where they can learn more about the importance, strategies and digital future of calibration. Renowned institutions and universities will share their expertise with visitors, who can benefit from a wealth of expert know-how and make important contacts for their projects.

Visitors benefit from Technology & Application Guided Tours

At the Sensor+Test, the focus is on the application. Visitors know this and are already preparing for their visit online. In order to support this process and to increase the added value of the leading trade fair for visitors and exhibitors, there will be 90-minute professionally guided Technology & Application Guided Tours on selected topics for the first time. For 2024 these are:

  • AI in sensor, measurement and automation technology
  • Mobile testing
  • Sensor, measurement and testing technology for the hydrogen industry

Attractive forum program

The extensive supporting program, which has characterized the Sensor+Test for many years, will once again be accompanied by a top-class lecture forum. Elena Schultz comments: “The quality is once again very high thanks to the evaluation of the submissions by experts, which is of particular benefit to the visitors of the trade fair.” Interested parties can look forward to an attractive program. At the forum in hall 1, which is centrally integrated into a meeting marketplace, exhibitors will be presenting new developments, products and applications on all three days. Admission is free for visitors. “We will be giving interested parties who are unable to attend the event the opportunity to watch all presentations live or online after the event,” says Elena Schultz.

Job Lounge: Well equipped for the future

“Medium-sized companies often have difficulties recruiting suitable staff,” says Elena Schultz. “With the Job Lounge, we want to give exhibitors and interested applicants the opportunity to talk to each other efficiently for the second time.” During the Job Lounge on the Tuesday of the fair, exhibitors at the SENSOR+TEST will present their topics related to human resources to an interested audience. On the Thursday of the fair, the Job Lounge will be part of the “Young Engineers Day”. The organizer is expecting several university groups from all over Germany and from technical schools in the Nuremberg area. “Whether you are looking for a new direction or the perfect career start – the Job Lounge will offer something for everyone,” says Elena Schultz confidently.

Two top-class conferences

The 22. GMA/ITG-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme, which will be held on 11 and 12 June 2024 by the Informationstechnische Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG) in cooperation with the VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik (GMA), will once again address the latest trends in sensor and measurement technology. The conference will also report on new fields of application in the area of measurement systems, their analysis and description as well as system-related (multi-)sensor technology.

The ETTC 2024 European Test and Telemetry Conference (June 11-13, 2024) in hall 2 is the most important international platform for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation and data processing. It will take place for the sixth time parallel to the Sensor+Test. Visitors and participants will experience the important role of telemetry technologies for applications in the aerospace, automotive and biomedical industries in current industrial developments such as IoT, big data, wireless or UAV (drones).

Digital offer again in 2024

The Sensor+Test is once again focusing strongly on innovation communication. In the run-up to the event, interested visitors can already find a whole range of innovations and topics that they can experience live at the trade fair. The offer of information is rounded off by regular newsletters, which draw attention to the technologies shown by exhibitors, as well as by social media channels, which provide continuous and up-to-date reports – before, during and after the event.

Safe your ticket now

The Sensor+Test 2024 will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all three days of the fair. Visitors can already secure their trade fair ticket online: www.sensor-test.de/en/visitors/exhibition-ticket. They can receive a voucher code to register for a free e-ticket from one of the exhibiting companies. Elena Schulz comments: “A visit to the Sensor+Test is definitely worthwhile. I would like to cordially invite you to Nuremberg today. Let yourself be inspired by the trends and innovations in the industry. – Welcome to the Innovation Dialog!”
