AI Adoption With Industrial Operations X

Siemens announced the launch of a new line of Industrial PCs (IPCs) equipped with Nvidia’s GPUs. Along with an extended AI offering, that’s part of the Industrial Operations X portfolio, it will accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) applications and mark another milestone in the strategic partnership between Siemens and Nvidia that was launched in June of 2022.

The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) was published recently in the Official Journal of the EU. The regulation contains specifications for the cybersecurity of products with digital elements. Affected companies now have 36 months to implement the requirements contained in the CRA.

Tech group Schneider Electric has entered into a partnership with Swiss start-up GR3N. Following the successful commissioning of a demonstration plant in March 2024, the opening of the first industrial-scale plant is planned for 2027 in Spain.

The latest version, 2.45.0, is now available. Profinet test laboratories are using it as the basis for certificate testing, and an increasing number of PI member companies are using the Tester as part of ongoing device development.
