With revenue growth of over 20 percent in the first half of 2026, Phoenix Contact’s business performance has been very strong. This is due, in particular, to the dynamic developments in international markets. In doing so, the corporate group focuses on the future-oriented field of electrification in industry and society.
There was strong growth in the US market. China and other international regions also contributed significantly to growth. “By expanding our degree of added value on a regional level, we are now closer to our customers, and we’re already seeing the results,” says Ulrich Leidecker. “We are living in a world where geopolitical tensions, trade barriers in the form of tariffs, and more regionally oriented economic structures have become new challenges and constants,” Leidecker adds. “This also means that, as a company, we are now called upon – given the current economic situation – to carefully analyze developments so that we are ready to accelerate when necessary and to hit the brakes when needed.”
Even as internationalization continues to advance, Germany remains the central industrial hub for the Phoenix Contact Group. The logistics expansion currently under construction at the existing logistics building in Blomberg demonstrates a clear commitment. With its expanded logistics capabilities, the company is strengthening its international direct delivery service from Blomberg. “In order for us, as a German industrial company, to remain competitive in the international arena over the long term, urgent political action is needed,” Leidecker says, reiterating the demands made of policymakers. These include less bureaucracy, faster digitalization, lower energy costs to become more competitive, and modern infrastructure. “This will also help the local manufacturing industry in Germany and Europe succeed,” Leidecker continues.
Around the world, investments are currently being made in the expansion of smart energy systems, decentralized power supply, energy storage, and the networking of energy and production systems. Phoenix Contact’s technology portfolio is precisely tailored to this electrification of industry and society. “We are focusing specifically on this electrification of industry and society,” Leidecker emphasizes. “This is where we can make the greatest contribution with our components and solutions.”
Positive outlook for the coming years
Given its current business performance, the positive development of its international market position, and its defined growth areas, Phoenix Contact sees strong growth prospects for the coming years. “The world is investing heavily in the electrification of its energy and production systems. These developments present opportunities for growth. And Phoenix Contact is well positioned precisely in these future-oriented fields,” Leidecker concludes.
