Eaton, has launched their new VS6 electronic differential pressure sensor

Eaton has launched their new VS6 electronic differential pressure sensor. This advanced clogging indicator continuously measures the differential pressure within hydraulic and lubrication oil filters for users to easily evaluate the status of the filter elements. The VS6 sensor features a dust and splash-proof stainless steel housing and is suitable for operating pressures of up to 6,000 psi (420 bar).

Early identification of increased contamination in hydraulic and lubrication oil is vital for preventing machinery failure. Eaton’s VS6 electronic differential pressure sensor provides a clear visual aide, allowing operators to make informed decisions about when to replace filter elements as part of their preventative maintenance strategy. Furthermore, knowing when to replace elements enables users to make cost-saving decisions associated with replacing elements too early, before the end of their working life.

“The new VS6 sensor is robust, small and provides the “traffic light” visual function by a special M12 connector with LEDs to indicate status of filter elements,” explains Simone Ortner, Hydraulic Filtration Engineering Manager of Eaton’s Filtration Division. “By using the 4…20mA analog signal of the VS6 sensor, users can more accurately predict the service life of filter elements to replace them in time.”

In addition to continuous differential pressure monitoring, the VS6 sensor also features a cold start suppression function up to approx. 37°F (25°C) in order to suppress pressure peaks during cold starts. This electronic clogging indicator is compatible with most Eaton hydraulic filtration systems and has a protection class of IP67.

Efficient Multi‑Screen Solutions from R. Stahl
Efficient Multi‑Screen Solutions from R. Stahl

In modern production and administrative environments, companies often operate multiple systems in parallel, for example for order management, production control and process monitoring. As the demand for information directly at the workplace continues to grow, a single screen is often no longer sufficient. Depending on a company’s IT security concept and network structure, different technical approaches are required. To address this, R. Stahl has developed two practical solutions.
