Emerson has been selected by multinational chemical company LyondellBasell to modernize the control systems and software at the company's Wesseling site in Germany. The implementation of advanced automation technology will help to improve the operations of an ethylene cracker and butadiene production plant. Emerson's digital tools and project engineering services will support the smooth execution of the plant's planned shutdown in 2024.
