Tobias Zimmer took over the charge of the intralogistics systems division at Vollert Anlagenbau. With this strategic personnel decision, Vollert is sending a clear signal for further growth in this important product segment.
Tobias Zimmer has been in charge of the intralogistics system division at Vollert since July 1, 2024. The 40-year-old family man has extensive expertise. With his previous career in several management positions and proven success in international mechanical and plant engineering, he will play a central role in the further development of the intralogistics specialist.

Considering the entire life cycle
The industrial engineering graduate has big plans. “I would describe myself as a strategic designer who likes to lead the way and motivate his team to break new ground together,” says Tobias Zimmer. “We have set ourselves important strategic goals for the next few years in order to further expand our technological leadership in intralogistics solutions for heavy loads and large workpieces. A key issue is expanding our market share by rethinking the life cycles of our system concepts. The total cost of ownership is our key indicator here.”
Zimmer also mentions global expansion as a further focus. “We want to tap into new international markets and expand our global presence. This includes identifying and analyzing potential markets, developing tailored market entry strategies, strengthening our local subsidiaries in America and Asia and building local partnerships. By adapting our products and services to the specific requirements of the respective markets, we aim to increase our competitiveness and win new customers.” For Tobias Zimmer, very well-positioned project management, which has always been important to Vollert, is crucial to the success of plant projects.
